ROLL ON TIME

Imagine there is a bank which credits your account each morning with $86,400, carries over no balance from day to day, allows you to keep no cash balance and every evening cancels whatever part of the amount you have failed to use during the day. What would you do? Draw out every cent of course. Well everyone has such a bank. Its name is TIME.

Every morning it credits you with 86,400 seconds. Every night it writes off, as lost, whatever of this you have failed to invest in good purpose. It carries over no balance and it allows no overdraft. Each day it opens a new account for you. Each night it burns the records of the day. If you fail to use the day’s deposits, the loss is yours. There is no going back. There is no drawing against tomorrow. You must live in present on todays deposits. Invest it so as to get from it the utmost in health, happiness and success. Make the most of today.

“IDEAL MIND IS DEVILS WORKSHOP” is a very known maxim which is connoted in real life too. There was a survey conducted by an American Magazine namely ‘The Atlantic’ in 2012, which gave results that are shown in a pie chart in Fig 2. We can infer that more than 50% of leisure time is invested in watching TV and merely 6% is spend in sports and reading activities.

By being busy for most of time can activate brain cells. There are many online n offline ways to learn different things apart from daily chores. Being busy doesn’t mean that you must not have a leisure time. But it means doing anything that is not related to your career but you always wanted to do it. For an instance, Steve Jobs was in one of the best universities in the world but he has also done calligraphy even though he wasn’t in arts college. There was no any connecting between his work and calligraphy, but it helped him in connecting the dots.

If we try to learn 24*7 in all things we do, we will find that we improvise to become a better person. There is no use in having a degree with distinction and if it hasn’t transformed from the person you were to the better version of yours. Being busy keeps us away from distractions too. Learning must continuous throughout the life. Don’t be like a stagnant water but like a flowing river.

Even if u go with friends to enjoy, try to learn there too. Ambling and observing people is also a learning activity. Interacting with people who have reached the place you want to be and listening their experience will help you grow. Time is killed without self-control and hence we end up wasting hours on social media. Money can be earned without self-control in external world, but people are still insatiable. Contentment is not equal to laziness. But it is freedom from the thought of results of an action. So, emphasize on “I will give my best n don’t care about anything else”.

Time waits for no one. Yesterday is history and Tomorrow is mystery. But Today is gift and that is why it is called the PRESENT

Thank you for your time. Please feel free to comment.
